Abstract: The present study investigated the structure and the surface of a biocompatible coating for implants and articles for osteosynthesis, comprising of titanium sublayer with developed microstructure, which for added biocompatibility, has a microlayer of carbon glass coating. The application of a double layer biocompatible titanium-carbon glass coating for improving the implant osteointegration, as well as improvement of the biocompatibility and corrosion resistance when interacting with different biological tissues is also discussed.
