Abstract: Objective: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is valuable for assessment of deep myometrial invasion, cervical stromal involvement and lymph node spread of endometrial cancer for preoperative evaluation of patients` local pelvic status, but recently the application of artificial intelligence (AI) has gained interest over the possibilities it offers for finding more features of MRI images. In this paper we aim to investigate how artificial intelligence is used currently in magnetic resonance imaging for preoperative evaluation of endometrial cancer. Materials and methods: PUBMED archives were searched from 2019 to 2024. The reference lists of included studies and review articles were also searched. Discussion and conclusion: Artificial intelligence has the potential to be integrated into many fields, and healthcare is one of them. This technology is promising especially for future diagnostic imaging practice. Endometrial cancer is one of the most common gynecological malignancies worldwide, and its correct and tailored treatment is essential for the prognosis and quality of life of these women. The use of AI can aid in this process and assist radiologists in preoperative MRI staging, with potential improvements in risk stratification and determination of prognostic factors. Therefore, this new area and its application should be studied.
