The impact of developed training methodology on technical skills of volleyball players aged 11-13 years. Longitudinal study
E. Mukaorcid
Резюме: The training methodology plays a crucial role in the advancement and proficiency of technical skills in volleyball for individuals aged 11-13. Being the protagonist in a game and possessing the ability to respond effectively in unexpected circumstances requires a high level of mastery over technical components.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of a specific training method on the technical skills of volleyball players between the ages of 11 and 13. Materials and methods: A total of twenty girls volleyball players aged 11-13 years took part in the study. Players engaged in a comprehensive training program that incorporated skill-based conditioning games and deliberate instructional training, during one year. Before and after the end of the one-year training period, the athletes underwent tests to evaluate the level of technique and accuracy in the elements of passing, setting, serving, and spiking. Student’s t-test was used to evaluate the statistical significance of the mean difference between the two sets of observations. Results: The extremely small p-value (.000) and the large magnitude of the t-value show a statistically significant difference between the means of the first and second tests. The values of the second test were greater than those of the first test, resulting in significant advancements in technical skills over one year. The service element has the highest value (-4.0500; p<0.05) of all indicators. Discussion: The results of this study show that the implemented developed methodology affects significantly the technical skills of volleyball players aged 11-13 years Conclusion: This study provides additional evidence that athletes wishing to develop their technical skills further can benefit from instructional training, which is a more organized and targeted method of skill development.
