Comparison of prediction ability between preferred, controlled, and maximal hopping
M. Ashrostaghi, A. Farjad Pezeshk, H. Sadeghi, E. Shirzad
Резюме: This study aimed to compare the prediction ability of fast and slow SSC performance be- tween preferred, controlled, and maximal hopping. Thirty experienced male athletes have participated in this study. Subjects have performed three hopping styles include preferred, controlled and, maximal hopping. For performance tests, subjects have performed squat jump, countermovement jump, and 40 yard sprinting tests. Kinematic and kinetic variables have measured using a digital camera and force plate. This study showed that PCA classified controlled hopping in different PCs among three hopping styles and has good reliability for leg stiffness. The results of multiple regression revealed that controlled hopping has significant prediction ability for sports performance in the absence of any significant differences with preferred hopping. Based on the results, controlled hopping could link leg stiffness and athletic performance better than preferred and maximal hopping styles.
