Резюме: Background: The aim of the study was to determine the impact of leg lower-limb load asymmetry index (AI) on the occurrence and number of non-contact injuries in female football players.
Methods: 18 female football players, aged 19 to 25 (average age 21.7 ± 1.8), were subjected to the tests. Before the start of the football season, the participants were tested on a chair for measuring the isometric strength and on the dynamometric platform, by means of the counter-movement jump (CMJ).
Results: The examined players were classified into two groups - the group in which contact limb injuries occurred (n = 10) and the group without such injuries (n = 8). There was no statistically significant differences (p <0.05) between the tested groups in all of the assessed variables, including the isometric strength and the load on the lower limbs during the counter-movement jump.
Conclusions: The value of the thigh quadriceps muscle asymmetry index had no effect on the leg lower limb load asymmetry, assessed in the CMJ test. There was also no relationship between the AI of the isometric force of unilateral isometric contraction of the thigh quadriceps muscles and the CMJ rebound and landing phases, and the number of lower limb non-contact injuries.
