Optimal state feedback controller for blood pressure regulation in cardiovascular system
Z. Gholamzadeh, H. Mahmoodian
Резюме: The cardiovascular system of the human body includes the heart and circulatory system which transport oxygen, nutrients and byproducts of metabolism by blood circulation. The flow of blood in the cardiovascular system is regulated by the heart rate which is controlled by the nervous system, neurotransmitters, and hormones. Baroreceptors in the aortic arch and carotid sinus, sense the arterial wall tension and relay the information to the nervous system to regulate the heartbeat. This mechanism can be considered as a closed-loop system with negative feedback. In this paper, the optimal state feedback controller, augmented with an error integrator factor, has been proposed to model the closed-loop. State-dependent differential Riccati equation has been used to generate the control law which guarantees the global stability of the closed-loop system. The advantage of this method is that the linearization error has been avoided and the results show that the output response is faster than the previous work.
