Comparative study of non-Newtonian physiological blood flow through elastic stenotic artery with rigid body stenotic artery
Sanjeet Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, D. Kumar
Резюме: This research presents a comparative study of an approximate solution of pulsatile blood flow in a porous stenotic artery. An isotropic elastic cylindrical tube is modeled as a porous stenotic artery, contains a viscoelastic fluid. The vessel wall is made of two layers viz media i.e. inner layer, which is rigid and bounded by a porous region of tissue fluid forming stenosis while the outer layer is adventitia, which is treated to be isotropic, linear and elastic. The effect of the connective tissue surrounding the arterial wall is our main goal to do this work. The analysis is directed at studying a situation, where the wavelength is very large as compared to the radius of the arterial wall. By exploiting the suitable boundary conditions we derive the equations of motion, continuity equation, along with the frequency equation. Numerical computations have been performed to obtain the effect of permeability of stenosis on wave propagation velocity and filtration velocity of tissue fluid.
