Static Stability of the Supporting Leg and Its Relationship with One-Step Kicking Performance in Male Soccer Players
A. Bishtorcid, J. Singhorcid
Резюме: Objective: This study explored the relationship between static stability of the supporting leg, assessed through center of pressure (COP) parameters, and one-step kicking performance (accuracy and distance) among 25 male amateur soccer players. Materials and methods: Static COP measures, including average distance and speed, were recorded using a pressure platform during a single-leg stance. Kicking accuracy and distance were assessed using the Mor-Christian soccer shooting test and standardized field measurements, respectively. Results: Spearman’s rank correlation revealed no significant relationships between COP metrics and kicking performance (p > 0.05). Discussion: The findings indicate that static stability may not be a strong predictor of kicking outcomes, emphasizing the potential importance of dynamic stability assessments. These results suggest that training programs should prioritize dynamic stability exercises and multifactorial approaches to enhance performance. Conclusion: Further research incorporating dynamic stability measures and larger, more diverse samples is recommended to advance understanding of the stability-performance relationship in soccer.
