Резюме: In this present study, a computational fluid dynamics study was conducted to investigate the influence of an anastomosis angle in an end-to-side brachioaxillary arteriovenous graft (AVG) on the upper arm on hemodynamic parameters by using the ANSYS (Fluent). For this study, an anastomosis angle of 15o, 18o, 25o, 30o, 40o, 60o, 75o, and 90o at graft and vein inlet Reynolds numbers of 440 and 62.8, respectively, was considered. For all cases of the anastomosis angles, the wall shear stress distribution and the velocity distribution were analyzed. Flow patterns were visualized through velocity vectors, velocity streamlines, and wall shear stress contour plots. The results show that an anastomosis angle ≤18o was the best choice for end-to-side brachioaxillary arteriovenous grafting during haemodialysis or any surgical intervention to abate the possibility of arteriovenous failure.
